Up for auction is a 1976 Honda MR175 with additional parts. I accompanied the original owner of this motorcycle to the House of Honda in 1976 when his dad purchased this bike for him. We had lots of fun riding this motorcycle through the woods near his home for a few years, after which it sat in his garage for over 20 years. I purchased the bike from the original owner around 1998 and had to clean out the fuel system, carburetor and gas tank to get it running again. My son used the bike for a few years and it sat again in my garage from 2010 until a few months ago. Unfortunately, the fuel went bad and I had to clean out the carburetor and tank again. The bike runs great, but I did put a different used gas tank on it to get it running quicker. Hello, this is a very clean, great running 200cc 1987 Honda Fat Cat. The bike has always been stored indoors. It has unknown miles as these don't come with a speedometer or odometer, but it runs great and I suspect it has fairly low miles. I'm the second owner and it has always been adult owned / operated. The motorcycle was cleaned up and parts of the frame were repainted white with auto grade urethane two-part paint. I'm downsizing my collection. My VFR1200 is in excellent condition, always stored in the garage with my other bikes. I'm the second owner, and have had it for almost 2 years. The saddlebags and trunk are keyed to the ignition. The factory metallic paint is super glossy and deep, as I keep it clean and waxed. I've changed the oil twice, using Castrol Power RS 4T full synthetic, last time at 7,500 miles. The horsepower and torque is ridiculous on this bike, 150+ and 90+, respectively. Of course you lose a little power to the shaft drive and single sided swing arm which looks great but no chain maintenance! I have installed a Leo Vince slip-on which in my opinion sounds great with the deep rumble, and also a plug-and-play Bazzaz Z-bomb which overcomes the OEM power restrictions in gears 1 and 2. I've also installed the dark smoke ZG sport touring screen.(The stock screen, factory passenger grab handles, and exhaust is included too. You have to take the stock exhaust because I don't want to look at that hideous thing in my garage!) Lastly, I installed a carbon fiber kit which consists of a factory tank protector, knee pads, gas lid, and triple tree, looks very sharp. I also replaced the battery with the Battery Tender Lithium variety which weighs 80% less than a lead acid. Anyways, the tires are in great shape, less than a thousand miles on them, so it's ready to go anywhere you do. Currently in running and driving condition, current California registration and clear title in my name.Odometer shows about 410 miles and has not rolled over as far as I know.Most, if not all accessories still function properly (I.e. Headlight, taillight, brake light, turn signals, horn, ignition switch with key, kill switch, electric start).Tires hold air but are weather-cracked and likely original from 1984 so replacement of all 3 tires would be advised before expecting dependability.Latch for seat is included but not attached due to lock housing damage on plastic side cover, seat opens freely.Fuel tank has minimal surface rust but does not seem to adversely affect fuel flow or overall function.Fuel petcock has been replaced with incorrect part so fuel flow/stop may only be accessed by removing plastic side cover and/or long needle-nose pliers. Third Annual ‘The MEET’ at ACM
Tue, 26 Aug 2014More than 2,000 attendees visited America’s Car Museum for its 3rd annual Vintage Motorcycle Festival ‘The MEET’ last weekend in Tacoma, Washington, where over 300 motorcycles and scooters were showcased on the Haub Family Field at LeMay. The event drew pre-1981 motorcycles and scooters from the U.S. and Canada, including an antique motorcycle display, swap meet, cruise-in and a 78-mile roundtrip tour from ACM’s Anderson Plaza to Mt. Rainier.
American Honda Signs Cole Seely To Factory Team

NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

Cal Crutchlow Leaves Ducati for LCR Honda

Honda Reports Q1 2014-2015 Sales Results

That represents a 2.0% increase over the results of the same quarter the previous year, which doesn’t sound like much.
