Honda Other description

Hello, this is a very clean, great running 200cc 1987 Honda Fat Cat.  The bike has always been stored indoors. It has unknown miles as these don't come with a speedometer or odometer, but it runs great and I suspect it has fairly low miles.  I'm the second owner and it has always been adult owned / operated.  The motorcycle was cleaned up and parts of the frame were repainted white with auto grade urethane two-part paint. All the plastics and decals were replaced this year as well. I used quality after market pieces so it all looks great, there are no scrapes or cracks, and the plastic is once again flexible unlike the 30 year old original plastic. The chain is new, the original sprockets showed no sign of wear so I left them alone. Tires are in nice shape, original seat is great.  This has the rear rack and skid plate so you're ready for some long days of exploring.  The bike has electric and kick start, fires right up at the touch of the button.  Headlight and tail light work as they should, electrical charging system works as it should, and it has a new battery. Forks were rebuilt with new seals and boots. Has fmf sticker on muffler but I believe it is the stock muffler. Has some missing paint under the right side of the gas tank from going through the car wash.  This bike is ready to go and you won't have to do a thing to it.  This is super quiet too so your neighbors and fellow campers won't be annoyed.  These bikes have an automatic clutch and a five speed manual transmission, meaning you shift with your foot but don't have to operate a clutch lever. Nice, simple, and bullet proof.  This bike doesn't leak a drop of anything.

These bikes are known to be extremely reliable and people love them. Small enough for a shorter person to ride but plenty of power to climb just about anything even if you're a bigger guy. Surprisingly fast in 5th gear.  Great as an RV / motor home bike.

Please look the pictures over closely and ask questions.  Ebay does not have a "no title" category for off road bikes (they should),  so even though this is listed as having a clear title it does not. Off road bikes here in Colorado (especially in the 1980's) did not come with titles. Some other states are / were different and sometimes you'll see one of these listed with a title. But again, this is strictly an off road bike and is not titled.  This will come with a bill of sale only. You'll want to get an Off Highway sticker (they call them OHV stickers here in Colorado) for the bike so you can legally ride your states trails and not get a ticket .

Shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. I use haulbikes.com for most of my shipping and you can get a free online quote from them. It is usually around $400 to either coast from Colorado. You are also welcome to come get the bike in person. A $250 non refundable deposit is due withing 48 hours of the end of this auction via paypal. The balance of the purchase price is due within 7 days of the end of this auction and should be made by cashiers / certified check, not paypal.
Please don't leave me hanging for weeks / months when making arrangements to pick up the bike. I will start charging a $20 per day storage fee for the bike after 20 days

I have a low reserve on this bike and expect it to go well above that. Bid with confidence, I've sold many of the bikes from my collection here on ebay this year with 100% positive feedback. This is a nice, solid, pretty little bike and you won't be disappointed!  Thank you!

Moto2 needs more radical bikes

Wed, 05 Sep 2012

Makers of fine exhausts, Taylormade Racing have built a Moto2 racer that harks back to the innovative machines like the Elf Honda 500 and Britten V1000. Since Moto2's inception in 2010 the class has featured bikes with conventional chassis but the Taylormade bike, designed by Paul Taylor and John Keogh, has a radical design featuring a carbon-fibre monocoque frame, carbon-fibre swingarm, wishbone monoshock front suspension and an under-seat radiator. However, with such radical engineering the inherent problem is that it is a risk for teams to invest in such a project.
