WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. George White & Visordown: 848 Challenge

Tue, 03 May 2011

I've never met a motorcycle dealer who isn't flat-out 24/7 and Steve Gannicott, the big cheese at George White Motorcycles, is no exception. George White's have 7 dealerships across the country and 6 outlet stores - a lot to keep on top of so Steve probably didn't need me pestering him all day but that's exactly what he got. When I managed to get hold of Steve, he was really supportive of my entry to the 848 Challenge and wanted to get behind it because George White now has a Ducati dealership.

Winter weather but summer carries on.

Aye, it’s been a another good week in the world of Niall Mackenzie. My friends at Moto Direct sent me a new RST Pro Series suit to try out, I acquired some new rubber for my S10000RR and young Taylor Mac splashed home to 12th place on his Aprilia in the 125cc British Grand Prix. Being no fashion guru and pretty ancient now I’m satisfied the brightest suit I’ve ever climbed into looks the biz.
