1991 BMW K75s This bike is a great survivor. It is far from a show bike, but a good, well-maintained driver. I have owned the bike for about 5 years and put about 5000 miles on it. These bikes are rare, smooth sport touring machines and are very reliable. They have aluminum fuel tanks so no worries about rust in the fuel system. They are shaft drive and fuel-injected. It always starts at the push of the button. Tires are Metzler Lasers and are in good shape. This bike has had regular oil changes and air filter replacements. I am not sure how accurate the odometer is as far as original miles, but it works. I am selling my 2007 BMW K1200LT, as I just bought a 2016 K1600GTLE and don't have room in my garage, nor time to ride both bikes. This LT is immaculate & has been very well maintained, 45,900 miles, all standard features, including the electro-hydraulic center stand (EHCS); cruise control; electrically adjustable windshield; adjustable rear shock; dual front disc brakes; servo-controlled integral ABS brakes; central locking; 3 12V powerlet plugs; reverse gear; radio & single CD player (note – like many LTs, it does not work); stingray storage compartment with stock flashlight; heated seats and handgrips; and left & right fins for regulating slipstream pressure against the rider. The engine, transmission, & final drive fluids were all changed, gas tank fuel lines, gas & air filters, spark plugs, and one valve bucket were replaced at 42,500 miles. Brake lines, brake pads, & fluid (including clutch fluid) were changed at approximately 40,700 miles. The new front tire (Metzler) has approximately 200 miles wear, while the rear Bridgestone has 6,875 miles on it, and a spare rear is also included with 5/32nds tread remaining. I have a 1987 BMW k75s for sale, I recently purchased this as a project last fall to fix up and have as a touring bike for myself, however my priorities have changed. I purchased the bike in September of 2015 at 36k miles and it had sat for a few years. FIM Eases WSBK Homologation Requirements
Sat, 22 Feb 2014With the 2014 World Superbike Championship now under way, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) announced a change in the homologation procedure for new motorcycles entering the series. The new regulations requires a minimum of 125 units produced in order to begin the homologation process. By the end of the first year of participation, manufacturers must have produced 250 units.

Michael Dunlop to Race for BMW at 2014 Isle of Man TT
Wed, 12 Feb 2014BMW Motorrad UK has signed seven-time winner Michael Dunlop to race in the 2014 Isle of Man TT and other international road races. Dunlop will be the first factory-backed BMW rider in 50 years, and will try to be the first rider to win a TT race on a BMW since Georg Meier won in 1939 on a RS 255 Kompressor. Dunlop, nephew of the great Joey Dunlop, was the star of the 2013 Isle of Man TT, winning four races and finishing second in the Senior TT on Honda machines.

Tue, 04 Feb 2014The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) reported a modest 1.4% growth in U.S. motorcycle and scooter sales in 2013, with consumers purchasing 465,783 vehicles. The sales data represents numbers from the MIC’s member brands which include BMW, Can-Am, Ducati, Harley-Davidson, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, the Piaggio Group (which includes Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa), Victory, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha.
2014 WSBK Provisional Entry List – 27 Riders and 9 Manufacturers

The provisional list includes 27 riders riding motorcycles from nine different manufacturers.
