Yamaha RZ350 description

Up for auction is my 1985 Yamaha RZ350. As as you can see from the photos, it's the Kenny Roberts edition. I have owned it for almost 3 years. It is in awesome condition. It is not showroom 10/10 but pretty close. Maybe 8.5 to a 9. I've had a lot of fun with it but it's time to sell.  Right after I bought it I replaced the following:

Rebuilt front calipers

New Stainless brake lines

New Brake pads (F&R)

New Brake fluid

Rebuilt front forks with new seals and Progressive springs. 15wt oil

New Bridgestone BT-45 tires

New oil lines

New oil tank and sensor

New Uni air filter (Stock air box intact)

New tapered steering head bearings

Rebuilt carbs

Since then I have added an R6 fan and automatic temp controller that turns on and off fan as needed. If you know these bikes, you know they didn’t come with a cooling fan. That’s fine as long as you are moving. Sitting in traffic it can overheat. Not anymore! Works perfect. Coolant was also replaced with Yamaha coolant and water wetter at the same time.

Just in the last month or so, I replaced the following:

Brand New TOOMEY pipes (Previously had DG pipes)

New clutch corks and springs (stock OEM)

New AGM battery

Kickstart seal

Countershaft seal

Shift shaft seal

Neutral switch and O ring

It is a great running bike and rides perfect. It draws a crowd and every bike night. The bike has 13,706 miles. I am not going to tell you my reserve, so don’t ask. It is very reasonable for this bike. There is a small crack in the belly pan/chin spoiler plastic but was repaired from the backside and you really can't see it. It was repaired by the previous owner. At some point in it's life, the ignition switch was replaced, so there are two different keys. One for the ignition and the other for the gas cap/seat.

Please ask questions before bidding.. I will be happy talk to you live by phone. Drop me a question and we can exchange phone numbers. Also, welcome to look at it if you are local.

Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I'm happy to work with your shipper to coordinate a pick up.

$500 deposit due via Paypal at auction end with full payment in cash or cashiers check, post office money order, etc, within 7 days of auction end. Bike and title will not leave my possession until check clears. If bike is left with me more than 30 days, a $10/day storage fee will be charged. I am a reasonable guy so we can work out special circumstances if we need to. Communication is key.

This bike is sold “as is” and with no warranty.

Good luck!

I knew I would forget a few things.. Thanks for the questions!

I do have the stock pipes and they are included in the sale. Owners manual, tool kit and factory Yamaha service manual included. Paint is all original to my knowledge and the tank is clean. All gauges and lights work as they should. Titled and registered in my name. Did I forget anything else?

2011 Isle of Man TT Recap

Fri, 10 Jun 2011

The Isle of Man TT usually provides a lot of drama, and this year’s event was no different. John McGuinness, second on the all-time TT wins list, added two more wins to his resume to win the Joey Dunlop Trophy while MotoCzysz once again fell just short of taking the bounty for being the first electric motorcycle team to record a 100 mph lap on the Mountain Course. The 2011 Isle of Man TT also had its share of tragedy with three racing fatalities.
