Yamaha Other description
Previously listed as a 1978 YZ 80 (that's what I was told by the guy I got it from), but I've been informed by my fellow Ebay-ers that this is a late 70's, early 80's, YAMAHA MX 100. The engine is NOT seized; it has good compression. I drained the old oil and gas and put in new oil and a new plug, but then I discovered the next part....(keep reading) The gas tank is rusted and leaks. It will need to be refurbished. I'll throw in the petcock but it looks shot. The exhaust is held on by bailing wire. The rear fend has rust. The front fender was original but it was shattered into so many pieces that tape was necessary to hold it all together. Basically, underneath all the tape is the original, albeit shattered, fender. This is a good bike for a potential restoration project. Check out the pics. What you see is what you get. Bike is sold in as is condition. I just don't have any time to mess with it as a project. ***I do NOT have a TITLE for this bike. Frankly I don't even know if these had titles. Either way, you've been made aware.*** LOCAL PICKUP ONLY IN THE SEATTLE WA AREA. Please do not ask me to ship it. What you see is what you get. Bike is sold in as is / as described condition. |

How To Rebuild a Yamaha R6 In Under A Minute + Video
Mon, 30 Jun 2014If you’re new to the road racing scene, you might have heard the terms “Factory” and “Privateer.” For the casual observer, you’ll notice the difference between the two ultimately comes down to money and support, as one is likely working out of the back of their van while the other is supported by an 18-wheeler. This video, shot by the Y.E.S./Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha team makes the line between the two sides clear as day. Watch as the Yamaha crew rebuilds Garrett Gerloff’s R6 from the frame up after a nasty crash with enough time to make the race.
