Yamaha FJR description

Thanks for taking a look at my FJR! I think you will love this bike - I certainly have. My wife and I are looking to get something larger and more cruiser-like, so that's why it's on the market. I would trust it for many more miles. It is an amazing sport-tourer with some great extras to enhance comfort, performance, and safety. Here's some info on the bike, and feel free to contact me with any specific questions. It's priced about $500 below NADA value for this bike and option set, with some brand-new components! Also for sale locally.

EXTRAS
  • V-Stream touring windshield (super clear, no distortion, directs wind over rider)
  • Corbin saddle (rider and passenger)
  • Givi Monokey detachable rear trunk
  • Traxxion Dynamics front fork springs (smooths out the front and improves steering)
  • MCL Sport Touring Handlebar riser (raises bars approx. 1" for a more comfortable position)
  • Flashing headlight modulator for higher visibility (safety feature, can be run in hi or lo beams, Automatically activates during the day and deactivates at night. Can also be manually turned on/off).
  • Back Off flashing rear brake light to increase visibility.
  • TP Checker tire pressure monitoring system (digital readout of front / rear tire pressure & temp.)
  • Frame sliders
  • Techspec tank grip pads
  • Throttlemeister locking cruise control bar-end

HISTORY
I am the third owner. Most of the miles were put on by the second owner, who runs the website RiderGroups.com. He is a MSF instructor, rode a lot of highway miles on it, and took great care of it. I used it some for commuting, but mostly for weekend trips to places like the Ozarks as well as Deals Gap in NC. It has ridden the Dragon!

CONDITION / MAINTENANCE
  • Oil regularly changed with synthetic. Last changed at 43K, and good for 7,000 miles.
  • Overall chassis lube, general tune-up and valve check performed at ~40K by MAG Powersports in Forney. The valves were well within clearance, and you'd have another ~20K miles before another valve check is needed.
  • No leaks or drips of any kind.
  • Front fork completely rebuilt with new springs installed at ~43K.
  • Front tire Michelin Pilot road 3 with ~4,000 miles on it. Probably 50% tread left
  • Rear tire BRAND NEW Michelin Pilot Road 4. I just had it installed the other day.
  • Brand new battery
  • Overall in excellent condition. A few scuffs here and there as expected from a used bike, but nothing major.
