Triumph Tiger description

Here we have a real barn find (garage). This Triumph 650 Tiger TR6R was last titled in 1984 and last plated in 1988, only has 3333.4 original miles on it.. The last owner put it in storage and moved west. He just returned to clear up his belongs and I bought this bike. I believe it to be all original except it may have over stock fork tubes. It has all original sheet metal, bars, seat, exhaust, ect. even original tires (weather checked) Has original paint and no rips in the seat, no dents or road rash never been down. The bike is rough from storage, rust, ect. but original. Even has the original tool kit, owners manual, Ign. switch with key and luggage rack.
I brought it home, cleaned and sealed the tank, cleaned the petcocks, removed float bowl, cleaned and checked carb. jets, cleaned plugs and points, changed oil, put in new battery. Then it started on the 4th kick and ran good. I took it for a ride and it shifts through all the gears with no problems. Brakes work good. I checked all the electrical - turn signals, headlight, tail light, brake light, horn all work. Tack and speedo work as they should, speedo still has the original sticker and trip odometer works and resets.
This bike will make someone a great daily rider (with new tires) restore it or collect it as is. Selling with no reserve. If you have any questions please ask before bidding and I will get you a fast answer.

2015 Triumph 250 Preview

Mon, 18 Nov 2013

With all the new motorcycles Triumph presented earlier this month at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan, Italy, we were hoping to see the company’s new 250cc models. Unfortunately, the new small-displacement Triumph models (which made our list of Top 10 Motorcycles to Watch For at EICMA) were not yet ready to be revealed, though Triumph did offer us a glimpse of what to expect, with a sketch of its 250 sportbike. At Milan, the company referred to the sportbike as “Triumph’s New 250″, though it will get a proper name when it’s officially, presented as a 2015 model, likely at next year’s EICMA show or at Intermot in Cologne, Germany.

2012 Triumph Speed Triple R Unveiled at EICMA

Tue, 08 Nov 2011

Triumph’s legendary Speed Triple receives the ‘R’ treatment for 2012, which means it comes equipped with top-shelf parts like Öhlins suspension and Pirelli Supercorsa SP rubber. Judging from its looks alone, it’s plain to see that this is no ordinary Speed Triple. Triumph worked in close collaboration with Öhlins, to fine tune the NIX30 43mm fork and TTX36 shock to work specifically for the Speed Triple R.

Triumph Street Triple Used to Test Rocket Components – Video

Fri, 04 May 2012

California-based aerospace company XCOR is using a Triumph Street Triple to test rocket components for a suborbital spacecraft. Of course, what immediately comes to mind is a giant rocket strapped on to the Triumph, but the truth is much less dramatic, yet still fascinating. XCOR is using the Street Triple for endurance testing of bearings components for the rocket propellant piston pump of the Lynx suborbital spacecraft.
