Triumph Daytona description

Powerful, good looking, and great sounding Triumph Daytona 955i, made into a Speed Triple like naked bike. It was prepped to be raced in the Pro Thunder category at Willow Springs, but never made it onto the track.
Bike has revised gearing and degreed cams, dynoed 119hp at the crank. Great blend of low down torque and high-end speed. This bike sounds possessed and is as fast as any bike I've ridden.

Previous owner added a Black Widow underseat exhaust system and a raised Attack Racing rear shock linkage with a Penske adjustable shock (5 settings for use from street to track).

Bike is pictured with rear seat cowl, but rear seat is also available and included.

List of upgrades:
- Black Widow underseat exhaust system
- Attack Racing rear shock linkage
- New CNC aluminum lightweight rear sets and foot controls
- Penske Racing adjustable shock
- Degreed cams
- Revised gearing
- Corbin seat
- AGM battery
- Carbon tank pad
- Round cafe racer style headlight
- Helibars raisers
- Rear seat cowl (custom painted)

Cosmetic Issues (see photos):
Tail fiaring has cracks small cracks (repairable)
Foot peg left scraped from resting against the wall
Clutch cover is scratched

Everything else works well: front and rear suspension, brakes, tank, frame and sub-frame, wheels. Forks have new seals and do not leak.
It was always maintained by an authorized Triumph dealer in New York.

This a great engine tuned for massive power.
Clear title in hands.

Contact me to see the bike or arrange a test ride. Bike can be ridden away, or I can help with loading bike onto a transport vehicle. Delivery is negotiable.

Pedrosa: most wins, least successful

Wed, 11 May 2011

Should Dani Pedrosa win at Le Mans this coming weekend he will become the most successful rider In the premier-class not to win the coveted title. After his triumph in Estoril the Repsol Honda rider currently finds himself on 13 wins and in joint first and a win, at a circuit that sees him rank as one of riders with the most victories in all classes, would make him a clear leader. Joining Pedrosa at the top of the ranking is Max Biaggi and Randy Mamola, two riders who became associated with the number two.

Motorcycle.com Adds a New Editor

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.
