Suzuki RM description

This is a 1980 rm 250t, it is in good condition as you can see in the pics and was a 1 owner bike before i bought it. I have an illinios title for it that is clear.

This bike is mostly original,

 things that are not:

tires

handle bars

grips

chain and sprockets

misc. hardware

silencer (new body, old inner parts)

New parts:

Tires, chain and sprockets, throttle cable, all engine gaskets, Boyesen power reeds, front brake perch and lever (new stock), grips.

Previous owner rebuilt the motor with new bearings and crank seals, piston and ring looked fine when i disassembled the motor. you do not want to start this bike with tennis shoes on, it does kick back! with that said this motor is in very good running condition. Brakes and wheel bearings are all in good working condition, rear suspension needs rebuild or aftermarket shocks, they dont leak but the damping is very weak. Front forks seem ok, no leaks. as with any suspension you will need to set it up for your weight and riding style. Lastly the left crank case has been welded at the sprocket cover mount, top mount, very common for this bike to break there. does not effect engine or oil leakage in any way as it is the mount the pretrudes from the motor to reach the countershaft sprocket. The rear fender is cracked under the seat, it has been glued and zip tyied, good for now but replacement will be needed.

With a little work this bike could be restored nicely, it rides and runs fine other than the rear shocks needing a rebuild or replaced.

As with any off road bike there is no warranty or guarantee for it, buyer ,rider assume all responsability for it.

Yoshimura GSX1250FA EEC Approved Slip-On End-Can

Tue, 16 Feb 2010

JAPANESE TUNING house Yoshimura has released a series of EEC-approved Slip-On exhausts suitable for the Suzuki Bandit GSF1250SA and the new fully-faired Suzuki GSX1250FA.At over 3kgs lighter than the OE Suzuki item, each Yoshimura Slip-On comes with the pipe work to mount to the standard front section plus all parts (including muffler clamp) required for installation. The EEC-approved silencer features two dB-killer baffles, one in the link pipe, one in the can and when both are removed power and torque are increased over stock, claim Yoshimura. With full EEC silencing both torque and power curves are identical to the standard output, but a dB-Killer in the link-pipe when used with an open exhaust gives solid gains, the company say.Part Number/Sleeve Type/Weight/RRP including VAT1A0-177-5L50 (Stainless Steel)    3.4kg  £597.751A0-177-5L80 (Titanium)              3.2kg  £666.731A0-177-5L81B (Titan Blue)*       3.2kg  £747.191A0-177-5L20 (Metal Magic)        3.4kg  £689.72For more information on this or any other Yoshimura product contact 01782 569800 or visit www.phoenixnw.co.uk to find your nearest dealer.
