2014 WSBK – Assen Results

Heavy rains and a fortuitous red flag were the difference in the World Superbike Championship‘s visit to The Cathedral of motorcycle racing, the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli captured his second win of the season in Race 1, which was halted early by a red flag with five laps to go just as it looked like reigning WSBK champion Tom Sykes was gearing up for a final challenge. The second race was also shortened, not by a red flag but because of a rain, turning the 21-lap race into a 10-lap sprint.

Suzuki Prepares For Season Finale LeMans 24hr Endurance Race

The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team, or SERT, has had a rough 2014 endurance season. The defending champions haven’t scored a single victory this year, but are hoping its fortunes turn for them during this weekend’s season finale: the grueling 24 hours of LeMans. Yes, motorcycles participate in this classic race, but the course configuration is entirely different from what the car guys use. 2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 Specs Released

Suzuki continued its nearly year-long tease for its new V-Strom 1000, releasing new pictures and full technical specifications for the highly-anticipated adventure tourer. We first saw the 2014 Suzuki V-Strom 1000 at the 2012 Intermot Show in Cologne last October. For a concept, the V-Strom appeared close to being ready for production, and the new photos of the production model show very few visual changes from the past year.
