Honda XR description

Up for sale is a nice 100% ready to go 1996 Honda XR400 dirt bike.  This bike starts right up, has lots of power, idles and revs amazingly smooth, and shifts through all the gears nicely.  It doesn't smoke or make any odd noises and the XR400 is known world-wide as one of the most reliable dirt bikes that Honda has ever produced.  They are VERY low maintenance and extremely durable.  This bike is in really nice condition, especially for a 1996.  Everything works on it, even the headlight.  The suspension is great with no leaks, as well as the brakes, frame, chain (newer gold chain installed) and sprockets, and other mechanical components.  The tires have good tread, the seat is in great shape with no rips or fading, and the plastics and graphics are new including one side panel and front and rear fenders.  This bike is all set and ready to ride and needs nothing.  It has TONS of torque and will climb anything and run reliably for many, many years.  I will also include the old plastics if you would like them for no extra cost.  This is a 1996 dirt bike so there are some minor scrapes and scuffs and cosmetic imperfections here and there, but nothing very noticeable and nothing that affects the performance of the bike.  The gas tank has a few spots on it where the white plastic is slightly yellowed, but some graphics would cover that up if desired.  I would just like to be completely honest with potential buyers.

Please feel free to come take a look at the bike if you're local in the Western New York area.  I can help with delivery to areas north of Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, Ohio, and Rochester, NY and I can also help with shipping if you arrange it.  If you have any questions please feel free to ask.  This is an off road bike and in NY they do not come with titles, but I will provide you with a bill of sale.  $200 Pay Pal deposit at the end of the listing and cash, certified check, or other payment upon pick up of the bike.  Thanks.

2015 Honda CB300F Heading To Canada in White with ABS

Thu, 10 Jul 2014

When American Honda officially announced the new 2015 CB300F this morning, it didn’t take long to realize the naked version of the CBR300R would not be offered with anti-lock brakes. The lack of ABS, even as an option, was one of the things that differentiated it from the CBR300R which offered it at a $500 premium. That’s not the case north of the border however, as Honda Canada confirmed it will offer the CB300F with ABS as standard equipment.

Is this Honda's inspiration for mass-centralisation

SORRY TO keep carpin’ on about porcelain bathroom products but this beauty, I think, is of great motorcycling significance. Feast on its elegant lines and classical, elegant beauty. Combining an integral hand basin (with a nifty electrically operated water pump in the cistern lid) this john not only provides ingenious space saving design techniques but also serves as a timely reminder to wash your hands once you’ve pointed Percy at the porcelain.

Honda To Build All-Green Test Track For E-Bikes And Cars

Mon, 19 Aug 2013

Honda has been making motions about its intentions to enter the electric motorcycle market with the RC-E concept bike and the Mugen Shinden Ni electric race bike (pictured above). Those plans are further bolstered by the news Honda will be constructing a test track dedicated entirely to the development of electric motorcycles and cars. Building an entirely new test track requires a massive amount of  resources, and Honda intends to make this project 100% self-sustainable by using 70,000 solar panels, spread out over 33 hectares, with the track and remaining facilities taking up another 25 hectares.
