Honda VTX description

You will not find a cleaner 2008 than this one! I am the second owner who bought it with 1381 miles, the original owner drove it from WV to Miami and back, that's it. The majority of the mileage I put on it were on annual bike trips with my cousin, uncle and brother, hardly any stop and go mileage on this bike. In 2013 the ONLY time I rode it was on the 1-week bike trip, its been covered and on a trickle charger in my garage the remainder of the time. I have an 11-month old daughter that has held my heart and time since she was born, hence the purpose behind the sale.

I have put a LOT of money into this bike since I've owned it with lots and lots of great accessories anyone would love, the easier ones were installed by me while the more difficult by Great Lakes Motorsports of Flint, MI (I can provide a receipt as proof):

1.) K&N air filter
2.) Cobra Speedster Swept chrome pipes
3.) Proper jetting for the air filter and pipes done by Great Lakes Motorsports of Flint, MI
4.) Show Chrome swing arm hinge covers
5.) Kuryakyn chrome swing arm covers
6.) Kuryakyn chrome drive shaft cover
7.) Show Chrome oil dipstick
8.) Pro-One Chrome billet choke knob
9.) Cobra chrome sissy bar/backrest
11.) Cobra chrome American flag sissy bar/backrest rear decorative cover
12.) National chrome speedometer cowl
13.) Show Chrome fuel shut off valve surround
14.) Show Chrome fuel shut off knob
15.) Kuryakyn chrome/rubber ISO grips
16.) Show Chrome valve stem covers
17.) Show Chrome vantage horn cover
18.) Vista universal cruise control
19.) Willie and Max revolution hard/soft saddle bags
20.) Mustang Vintage 2-piece sport touring seat (not pictured)
21.) Mustang leather tank bib
22.) Dowco Guardian Weatherall cover

As far as mechanically, it is perfectly sound, runs and rides GREAT. This bike has been an absolute joy to own and ride! The bike is in need of nothing, I have recently put a battery in it so just add gas and GO (after payment of course)! The pictures simply do not do it justice nor do they include the Mustang seat purchased in 2013.

As far as what comes with it, the stock seat and pipes come with the purchase as well as all installed accessories!

The Private Life of Dani Pedrosa – Video

Wed, 02 May 2012

Dani Pedrosa is probably the most enigmatic of MotoGP’s “Aliens”. He doesn’t have the charisma of a Valentino Rossi, he doesn’t attract controversy like teammate Casey Stoner, and he doesn’t have the exuberant victory celebrations of Jorge Lorenzo. There’s also a large segment of American fans who still can’t forgive Pedrosa for taking out his teammate Nicky Hayden at Estoril in 2006, almost costing the Kentucky Kid the championship.

Electric Motorcycle Conversion [video]

Fri, 30 Jul 2010

If you were ever curious how to convert your smelly, noisy and dirty gas powered motorcycle into a quiet and zero emissions electric motorcycle then you have to check this video out from GomiStyle.  They take an old Honda Rebel 250 and customize the frame to accommodate the electric motor and batteries, they claim the conversion should take about two to three days to complete, the batteries will take about 5-8 hours to charge and will give you a top speed of 45 mph. Here is a link to the step-by-step instructions, check out the video after the jump. The GomiCycle – An Electric Motorcycle Conversion from Media Sapien on Vimeo.
