Honda Shadow description

We took this in on trade on a minivan.  The previous owner really did not want to let his bike go, but there is no room on the bike for the kids.  Not that it matters to you; but he paid way more than we expect it will sell for here not that long ago.  He did a lot of maintenance you can't see. What you can see is the seat, sissy bar and the new headlight.  He also put blue LED's all along the frame and then.... their circumstances changed and he was forced to trade his bike.

My name is LEON; I am the resident motorcycle guy since I have been riding all my life.  I have even ridden this bike and it feels good, the clutch is good, the power is good, & it even sounds good of course I am biased, I am an old head and have always had a soft spot for Vance & Hines from my racing days.  If you don't know who they are, google them.  I don't know what else I can tell you.  Oh the battery is good.  We have been moving it from the shop to the lot for a few days and she fires right up each & every time.  That is exactly why we are listing it here.  It is about to be cold and we cannot spare the space in the shop once winter sets in and nobody wants to be in charge of pulling it in and out everyday so somebody, maybe you is about to get a heck of a deal on a healthy bike that you can buy cheap and ride for many years to come or you can store it till spring when the prices go up cause everybody is looking for a bike and make yourself some money.

Either way, she is on a one way ticket to a new owner.

Any questions?  Ask away. I am on my computer most of the day.

Florida to Alaska and Back on a Honda CBR125R

Tue, 24 May 2011

A 65-year-old man from Windsor, Ontario, Canada is attempting a cross-continent ride from Key West, Fla., to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and back, on a Honda CBR125R. Bob Munden of Windsor is attempting to set the record for the smallest motorcycle to make the trip from the southernmost accessible point in North America to the northernmost point, and back. A print shop owner with a stable of five motorcycles, Munden will attempt the trip on the 124.7cc single-cylinder four-stroke Honda CBR125R, an entry-level sportbike model Honda offers in Canada.

EICMA 2008: First Impressions

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.

Asimo: Lazy bastard

Wed, 22 Aug 2012

Honda's ASIMO, Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility robot is a pretty cool thing. Until I'd seen it in the flesh (plastic?) I thought it was just a willy-waving exercise from Honda, but when I saw it running and walking up and down stairs, I was massively impressed. So, perhaps, one day, we'll have the ability to buy a relative of ASIMO to help us around the house, I thought to myself.
