Honda CB description

What you see here is a 1982 Honda CB750 built by Slipstream Cycle Works, LLC. This bike is one of a kind.

The bike has had a complete Ducati 748 single side swingarm mated to it, with a Marchesini wheel. The front end is from a 2010 CBR600RR. With those additions, came extremely upgraded brakes. Brembo on the back, dual Tokico up front. She'll stop on a dime. It has a custom built subframe, designed around the seat on the bike, as well as incorporating shock mounts for the monoshock. Unlike many of these builds, the shock can bottom out without slamming the tire against the frame. The reasoning behind choosing this swingarm set up, was largely due to the shock angle required. It runs at a near 90 degree angle, rather than most others that run up in to the backbone, thereby applying forces to the back bone of the bike, that these old bikes are not designed to take. The seat is fiberglass, built in house. The tank is a 900F tank. The tank is longer than the stock K tank, and really fits the aesthetics of what I was going for. The electronics, are tucked underneath the seat cowl of the bike, along with the LiOn battery. Brand new Dyna coils. Brand new full charging system, as that is a known weak point on the DOHC's. I just replaced the entirety of it. It looks clean, no exposed wiring anywhere. There are billet bits throughout the bike that were all machined in house. Rearsets, tach plug, dipstick cap, brake fluid reservoir caps, ignition cover, plug for the rear axle. The carburetors, they are from Murray's Carbs. A dual Mikuni VM34 system. I've dealt a good bit with Murray, great guy to work with, and his carb systems are top notch. He's spent a lot of time and money getting them right, and he absolutely has. The carb system gets a ton of attention everywhere I take the bike. This was a simple solution to get rid of the stock CV carbs that are near impossible to run without the stock air box. The exhaust, is a custom 4 into 4 reverse cone megaphone. It's loud, it sounds spectacular. All bolts that could be, have been replaced with stainless. Engine is a two tone silver, and gunmetal. Case, and cylinders are silver, valve cover, inner ignition cover, stator cover are gunmetal. Frame is gunmetal, with a bit of flake in it. Body work is Bahama Blue, with a Cobalt Blue Flake, along with chrome flake. Really pops in the sun. New Avon tire in the rear, have that matching front that will come along with it.

This bike wasn't built to be a show bike. It was built to be ridden. The bike rides exceptionally well. I have put some time on it this spring/summer through the Ozark Mountains, it's been a dream to ride. The engine is tight. The bike starts easy, and runs well. You can't take it anywhere without getting a ton of attention, more importantly, you can ride it comfortably.

I have a clean and clear title for the bike.

Shipping is at the expense of the buyer. The bike is located at my shop in Russellville, Arkansas. It is a commercial address. I have used uShip multiple times to ship bikes over the last year. The last one came to me from North Carolina, it was $350. One before that went from me to Chicago, it was $280. Both done by professional transport companies specializing in motorcycles.

Bike is for sale locally, and on some forums as well. If you'd like to make me an offer on her, feel free to shoot me a message with it.

If you have any questions, please shoot me a message, and I will get back to you as quickly as I can.

Thanks

Recall for 2008-2010 Honda ST1300

Mon, 18 Jul 2011

Honda is recalling certain 2009-2010 ST1300 sport touring motorcycles due to a risk of a brake fluid leakage. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the pre-formed hose supplying fluid from the rear brake reservoir to the rear brake master cylinder is routed in a way that puts it at risk of damage. When the Honda ST1300 is heavily loaded and ridden over rough surfaces, the rear suspension may bottom out, causing the hose to contact the swingarm.
