Honda sold 4.2 million motorcycles over its second quarter ended Sept. 30, 2013. This marked the second consecutive quarter with motorcycle sales topping the four million mark, and a 10.8% increase on the 3.8 million units sold in the same quarter last year.

45,367 Motorcycle Thefts Reported in US in 2013

Americans reported 45,367 stolen motorcycles in 2013, down 1.5% from 2012, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau‘s latest Motorcycle Theft and Recovery Report. According to the NICB motorcycle thefts have been on the decline every year since 2007 when 65,678 motorcycles were reported stolen, though the overall trend appears to be leveling off. Japanese motorcycles continue to be the most popular target for thieves.

Barber Recognized by Guinness as World’s Largest Motorcycle Museum

Guinness World Records has officially recognized the Barber Motorsports Museum as the world’s largest motorcycle museum in the world. The 144,000-square-foot, five-story museum is home to nearly 1400 motorcycles, of which about 700 are on exhibit. We’ve featured the Barber Museum before, and are completely blown away each time we step foot within its doors. It’s simply awe-inspiring.
