Ducati Superbike description

*serious bidders only, please contact before bidding if you have zero feedback. Thank you and good luck*

Up for your eBaying pleasure is an outstanding and rare Ducati 748 Superbike in racing yellow. The 98 Ducati 748 is one of the most prestigious and sought after road racing bikes in the history of motorcycles. If you're looking at this auction like most serious riders at some point in your life you have dreamed of owning such a bike and with good reason. This particular bike is in excellent two owner condition. I am the third owner but have only owned this as part of my collection, it has never seen the road under my ownership other than a test drive, and is stored indoors in a heated living room-like setting.
The 748 handles in an outstanding fashion true to it's racing heritage. This bike shifts smoothly through all gears and handles extremely well even when diving into serious corners. All maintenance has been done and this bike is ready for a serious season of riding. Brakes and tires in excellent condition, as is the frame and all body work aside from a couple small bits of wear on the tank and rear swing on. Also there is a small dent on one of the exhaust canisters, but believe me none of these are really noticeable as this bike has literally been indoors for the winter among my other collector bikes and shows very nicely. White and gold was added to the upper front fairing and rear tail for a racing look. Other notes about condition, this motorcycle has a clear title and clean vehicle history report which we will provide and you are welcome to check the vin# yourself. If you are local you are also welcome to stop by Sixx Gun Music during normal business hours and take a look. Only selling to prepare for a cross country move, can't keep them all. If you need assistance with shipping we have a shipper we use regularly for vehicles like these that we trust and does an outstanding job, we can help arrange at your cost. Or uship.com is also an excellent place to find a shipper.
Good luck!

The Making of the Ducati Desmosedici GP12 – Video

Mon, 19 Mar 2012

Ducati has released a video describing the work that went into producing its Desmosedici GP12 to coincide with the MotoGP race machine’s official unveiling. The Bologna, Italy, manufacturer gave the Desmosedici a much-publicized overhaul after a disasterous 2011 season, with star rider Valentino Rossi going without a win for the first time in his Grand Prix racing career. From the post-season test in Valencia, Spain, in November to today, Ducati redesigned is race bike, with Ducati Corse General Manager Filippo Preziosi saying 90% of the parts are new.
