BMW R-Series description

2004 BMW R1150GS with ABS.  Bike is clean and runs great.  All BMW hard bags are included with this sale along with BMW tank bag.  New Sargent Seat. Side bags have some wear on them (scuffs, scrathes etc.).  Tank is flawless.  There is some light fuel staining on the right side of the engine casing form previous owner.  Replaced both fuel line quick disconnects.  Serious inquiries only please.

Pierre Leclercq has been appointed vice president and head of design at Great Wall Motors. Splitting his time between the company's studio in Baoding, China, and a Shanghai-based satellite studio, he reports directly to chairman Wei Jianjun. In his role he‘s responsible for the design of the brand globally and leads a team of 130 designers in Baoding as well as 25 in the Shanghai studio.

BMW Announces Trophy for Privateer Racers

BMW announced a new competition for privateer racers competing worldwide. Private road racers competing on BMW’s S1000RR or HP4 sportbikes in 15 different series worldwide will earn points based on their results, with the top privateer at the end of the year winning the BMW Motorrad Race Trophy. The trophy represents BMW’s new philosophy towards motorcycle racing which began with the official withdrawal of factory support in the World Superbike Championship.

2012 BMW S1000RR Engine Recall

BMW is issuing a recall on the 2012 BMW S1000RR because of a risk of engine failure. According to a post on the official BMW Motorcycles USA Facebook page, the connecting rod bolts may loosen and fall out. This may result cause the engine to seize, creating the risk of a crash.
