You are looking at a 1987 BMW R100 RT model which began life as a fully faired touring bike and has been reimagined as a cafe racer. Custom leather saddle and fiberglass rear end, modern LED indicator lights and taillight. Pegs are relocated for a sportier riding position and handlebars have been swapped. Bike has a deep growl, but is not obnoxious...sounds like an air cooled porsche on two wheels. ONLY QUALITY PARTS USED. The original block, trans and running gear have not been modified and are in great running order. Very strong bike, shifts smooth and idles consistently. Just installed a new starter and battery. Mileage unknown ( no odometer)- last recorded was around 50k. Turn signals stopped working after new battery was installed, needs troubleshooting. In addition, it is equipped with a passenger seat, two extra LED lights and cruise control as standard. BMW Reports Record Sales in 2012
Wed, 09 Jan 2013BMW reported a record year for motorcycle sales, supplying 106,358 motorcycles and scooters in 2012. This represents a 2.0% increase from the 104,286 units sold in 2011. Helping BMW reach its new sales record was a strong December which saw sales of 6,069 units worldwide, a 43.4% increase from the 4,232 units sold in December 2011.
