After 6 years and 68,000 miles in which it endeared itself to me so much I'll say it's the best bike I've ridden. As time change and our riding changes so does our choice in bikes, that is why I'm selling her and going on to the Bmw K1600gtl. Sport days maybe over but sport riding can go on. She has newer Michelin Road Pilot 4 tires with 1500 miles, clutch was replaced at 60k, clutch master and slave cyl also replaced. All recall items addressed at dealership along with normal services. 2012 BMW S1000RR Engine Recall
Thu, 26 Apr 2012BMW is issuing a recall on the 2012 BMW S1000RR because of a risk of engine failure. According to a post on the official BMW Motorcycles USA Facebook page, the connecting rod bolts may loosen and fall out. This may result cause the engine to seize, creating the risk of a crash.
