BMW K-Series description

This is a 2003 K1200GS in excellent condition. Beautiful black paint. All stock with the exception of a Technik windscreen and a Beltronics radar detector with billet mount. Both tires are about 80%.
Runs and rides great. This bike as with any other K model I've ever seen will smoke on start up after sitting on the side stand for any length of time. Just a heads up for the non BMW crowd.
If you have questions, ask them.
Shipping is to be paid for by the buyer, if needed I will deliver the bike to one of the local shipping depots such as Forward Air, in Oklahoma City. The bike will not ship or be available for pickup until payment is fully verified, no exceptions.
A $500.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end, full payment is due within 7 days of auction end.

EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW nineT First Impressions – Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

We were one of two US motorcycle publications to attend the unveiling of the 2014 BMW nineT in Munich a few weeks ago. The unique roadster was designed to both embody and celebrate the 90 years of BMW motorcycles by emphasizing the archetypical form of BMW’s qualities. Now, as part of the EICMA 2013 show, the rest of the world media and the public who are lucky enough to be in Milan get a chance to throw a leg over one.

Racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats requires more than a little good luck. Weather plays such an important role in the speed of the salt and whether the event is even held at all. This year, Valerie Thompson experienced the full spectrum of Bonneville racing.

BMW 1000RR and the Honda C70, are they indestructible?

Wed, 20 Apr 2011

I’ve managed 1374 miles on the Michelin Power Pures (mostly on track) and although we’ve had some decent temperatures they still look like new so there’s plenty meat left for another month at least. I’ve been running them at 30psi front and 32psi rear and find they warm up after a few miles but I wouldn’t say the temperature comes any quicker than any of the competition so it has to be four miles before I get brave. I’ve had a few out the seat moments with my BMW but I have got the rear suspension  set pretty hard (8 rebound,8 compression, two turns on pre load) and in slick mode, so 190bhp in first gear at the Knockhill hairpin is always going to be dodgy.
