BMW K-Series description

Purchased from Dealer in 2010 at 12,000 miles, second owner.  Rode it frequently for two years than suffered an injury that prevent riding for two years.  Occasionally rode in 2014 and 2015, but decided to sell this Summer.  Still runs smooth and has great acceleration and handling.  Not recommended for a first time rider.  Ideal for short to medium trips not recommend for cross country bike tours, my personnel experience was that my legs would fell cramped after a few hours on the bike.

Features:
  • Stock Saddle bags included with bike.
  • Only modification to bike is leather pad on tank to prevent scratching from jacket zipper.
  • New tries with only a season of riding on them.
  • ABS Brakes
  • Fuel Injection
  • Power outlet for charging bike or to hook up an accessory to.
Condition Good:
  • Small scratches on left lower fender.
  • Leather on seat starting to crack.
  • Slow oil leak from crank case, believe it is from a cracked gasket.  Did not occur when bike was purchased from dealer 2010.  Notice leak shortly after resuming riding in 2015.
  • Oil changes and service has been kept up on bike.
  • 1 Year old battery in Bike.
  • Bike kept in heated garage during winter months and on trickle charger.

BMW S1000RR drag bike

Fri, 05 Apr 2013

Whilst stretched out bikes aren't that popular over here in the UK, you can certainly appreciate them a whole lot more more when you know they're going to be used at a drag strip. This video shows bike builder and ex-racer Roland Sands work his magic on a BMW S1000RR. Future plans are to increase the engine to 300bhp, and achieve speeds of 220mph.

Here are a few things going on around the Motorcycle.com Forum Network: Animated Engines plivez, a new member of the Ducati.ms forums (welcome Plivez!) has a website where he animates motorcycle engines in flash. It’s pretty interesting to see the way a Evo and Twin Cam V twin Harley Davidson engine works. He also has up the crazy BMW flat twin R100 motorcycle engine which seems more complicated then an engine should be!
