This vehicle was purchased from the estate of a well to do California business man. My lifelong friend was in charge of taking care of all of this gentlemans vehicles. The miles on this bike were all put on by my friend. He drove all of the cars and bikes at least once a month to keep them up to running standards. This bike and all other vehicles was stored in a climate controlled garage. It is therefore in absolutely like new condition. It has had all the fluids changed and is ready for use. The Bike is totally original with the exception of a battery tender added. (Included in sale). Not much more to say. This motorcycle is virtually brand new. Starts and runs perfectly. No scratches or dings of any kind. New out the door it was over 18 thousand dollars. I have all paperwork documenting the motorcycle. Own a great bike for a fraction of new. Very reasonable reserve. Fri, 12 Apr 2013BMW has released the new System 6 Evo flip-front helmet. It retains the clean lines of the System 6, while increasing levels of comfort and practicality with a more scratch-resistant internal sun visor, a more robust visor mechanism designed to make operation with gloved hands easier, improved ventilation control on the chin, and a revised spoiler for better aerodynamics. BMW says it has a unique chin bar pivot which reduces the size of the helmet when the chin bar is upright. Weighing in at 1.57kg, the ECE 22-05 homologated Evo is a quiet lid, with noise levels registering at 84-86 dBA at 62 mph. The helmet comes ready for installation of the BMW Communication system, offering a Bluetooth connection to the BMW Navigator IV sat-nav, music players, mobile phones and other BMW helmets.

It was going back a few years now (certainly pre-Charlie McGregor era) Having just picked up this new model, I’d ridden 100 miles on a warm summer’s evening to reach my house by dusk. Mindful of the fact that said house contained two frenetic, bark-happy border collies and a small, sleeping child, I cut the ignition, whipped the clutch in and planned a gentle coast up to the area outside my front door.

Tue, 23 Feb 2010I’d like to ramble on about a dozen different things relating to this video, but the 3- minute, 19-second clip speaks for itself. However, once the engine is revving at high rpm, watching the cams, finger followers and valve springs seemingly freeze in action due to the incredible speeds, I was reminded of that whole “Dude, the faster I went the more everything around me seemed to slow down,” experience we’ve all heard about or experienced.
