2008 APRILIA RXV 550 The second of two that I picked up this spring. I originally intended to keep this one and did a few upgrades when I went through it. The odometer shows 100 miles but it didn't have a speed sensor when I got it (it does now) but the ECU only showed 16 hours of run time. I went all the way to the bottom end on this one and it now has less than 30 minutes on a fresh rebuild. It was missing a few parts when I got it so the seat, chain, clutch, and rear fender are all new. There are some light brush marks on the front fender but I have a new one ordered. The forks were just serviced with synthetic oil and new double lipped fork seals. Piaggio Reports Q2 2012 Results
Fri, 27 Jul 2012The Piaggio Group reported a 4.8% drop in motorcycle and scooter sales over the first half of 2012 thanks to the continuing struggles of the European economy. The Piaggio Group includes the brands Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa. According to the company’s second quarter report, the Piaggio Group sold 216,700 motorcycles and scooters in the first half of 2012, compared to 227,700 units in 2011.
