2008 APRILIA RXV 550

Very low miles. Factory black sealant engine was just serviced including valve check/adjustment, flywheel screws loctited and stator cover oil seal replaced. All fresh fluids, new oil filter, spark plugs, fuel pump and battery. Fully derestricted and correctly set up with the latest USA full power mapping. It has a few light scratches on the plastics but the inside is like new. This bike was never titled but comes with a clear Manufacturers Certificate of Origin just like any new motorcycle.

The U.S. motorcycle industry saw a 4.6% decrease in year-on-year sales over the first six months of 2011, thanks mostly to a 17.3% drop in ATV sales. Motorcycle and scooter sales however saw a 1.7% bump in the first half .

Aprilia USA announced the arrival of a new Max Biaggi race replica version of its two-stroke SR 50 scooter as a new 2013 model. The Aprilia SR50 Race Replica is dressed to match the livery of Biaggi’s RSV4 World Superbike racer. Aprilia had previously produced a race replica SR50, but that was with the white Aprilia Alitalia livery from 2009.

Marco Melandri rebounded from last week’s disappointing Portimao round to win Race One at Laguna Seca while Tom Sykes extended his championship lead with a win in a red-flagged Race Two. Melandri got taken out of the second Portimao race after his Aprilia teammate Sylvain Guintoli slid into his RSV4. Melandri looked eager to make up for that DNF, leading every lap of Race One on his way to his third win of the season.
