The information I've gathered from reliable sources, one being a man who used to work for Yamaha of Troy in this time frame, suggested that it was an Ernesto Fonseca bike after I called and told him I thought it may have been a Chad Reed bike.  Suffice it to say,  it is a YoT bike but who's it was is unclear.  Personally, regardless of who's it may have been, its still a staple in the history of the sport.  This bike runs very strong. I had planned to restore it, but ultimately decided to sell.  This bike is a true barn find and I'm passing it on.  Bill of sale only.  Ask any questions and I will try my best to answer.  Thanks and Good Luck

And it's goodbye from him

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

THIS IS Valentino Rossi's farewell letter to his Fiat Yamaha team following the announcement the flambouyant Italian is to head to Ducati MotoGP in 2011.The hand-written letter, mistakes and all, is written in almost a 'my first romance' kinda way. It's touching, if a little bizarre. Some of the letter reads:“Unfortunately even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories, like when my M1 and I kissed for the first time on the grass at Welkom, when she looked straight in my eyes and told me ‘I love you!'"Somehow, we can't see Casey Stoner gushing quite as freely when he leaves Ducati for Repsol Honda.

Kenny Roberts Joins Inaugural American International Motorcycle Expo

Fri, 06 Sep 2013

We’ve posted several articles over the past few months about the inaugural American International Motorcycle Expo (AIME) because the motorcycling public is invited to attend what looks like an industry/trade show. And we’re not the only ones excited to check it out. Kenny Roberts, perhaps the best-known American motorcycle racer of all time, has signed on to the AIME show as “American International Motorcycle Champion.” In this role, Roberts will serve as the proverbial face of AIMExpo, joining in the celebration of the inaugural show with the entire powersports marketplace – industry, trade, media and consumers.

This is Jorge Lorenzo’s New Motorcycle: Yamaha YBR250

Tue, 07 Feb 2012

You would figure a former MotoGP World Champion and one of the top motorcycle racers on the planet would have his pick for a streetbike. Not if he doesn’t have a motorcycle license and is practicing for his riding test however. In 2010 MotoGP Champion Jorge Lorenzo‘s case, his ride is the Yamaha YBR250.
