2011 Yamaha Yzf-R6 , Used 2011 Yamaha R6. I bought this bike brand new in 2010. It has 4448 miles on it. Never been layed down. It's had regular oil changes. Never been abused. It was used for Sunday cruises. I've added steel braided front brake lines. Vortex rear sets. Rear fender eliminator. Flush mount turn signals. Super white headlights. LSL frame sliders. GSR steering stabilizer. Engine has never been touched. The bike is set-up for GP shift (opposite) but I can easily switch it back. Selling b/c I lost a job and can't afford it anymore. The decision, while unfortunate, isn’t hard to understand, as racing at the highest levels isn’t cheap, and a factory involvement means added pressure to succeed, which ultimately means spending more money to do so. Through it all, however, Yamaha has remained involved with the sport, fielding factory teams and sponsoring various riding schools and even racetracks.
Lorenzo Crashes in Practice Again; This Time He’ll Skip the Race
Fri, 12 Jul 2013Reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo has suffered another high-speed crash during free practice ahead of the German Grand Prix at Sachsenring. Lorenzo had a similar crash during practice in the previous round at Assen, but still lined up on the grid to race, finishing fifth despite breaking his collarbone in three places in the accident. This time, however, the Yamaha rider decided to withdraw from the race.
