Yamaha YZ description

Is a full restored Yamaha YZ250V 2 Stroke. This bike has been restored to better than new. I was building a race bike but not able to ride now. This bike has only about a mile on it after restoration. I will try to touch on some of the things done to this bike. Installed steel sleeve bored to stock specs with racing piston. Reed valves with spacer, Moose fly wheel weight. Fat bars, new chain and sprockets, griper seat, new tires, rebuilt suspension front and rear, metal throttle tube, new cables, metal skid plate, Pro Circuit exhaust, Restyled 2014 UFO plastics, Blue frame guards and chain guards, blue chain, Black rims, new blue spokes, new wheel bearings, all new fluids. This is not every thing but gives you a idea how much I put into this bike. I would like to think better than new. Shot me your best offer, I am sure some one would have a hard time finding a bike as clean or as built as this one. No short cuts were taken. Shipping is on the buyer. I can crate the bike, I will charge a extra $200.00 for that service. Thank you for looking.

Yamaha Produces 35th Anniversary Edition SR400 for Japan

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

Yamaha is celebrating the 35th anniversary of its SR series with a special edition model in Japan. Produced in limited numbers, the 35th Anniversary Edition Yamaha SR400 offers an exclusive leaf green metallic color, special badging and, in an unusual gesture, a lower price than the base model. The original SR500 was introduced in 1978 as a street-focused version of the Yamaha XT500.

Rumor: Yamaha Developing Inline Three Roadster

Wed, 25 Jan 2012

French motorcycle outlet Moto Revue reports Yamaha is developing a new three-cylinder middleweight. Citing an internal Yamaha document, Moto Revue reports the new naked model will feature an inline Triple engine, aluminum perimeter frame, upside-down fork and a triple-pipe exhaust like the MV Agusta F3 and Brutale 675. Yamaha has produced a Triple before, offering the XS750 from 1976-1979 before replacing it with the XS850 in 1980 and 1981 (pictured above is the 1981 Yamaha XS850.) The potential new model is still likely to be years away, so its look is yet to be determined, though Moto Revue does have a rendering that borrows some of the design elements from the FZ8.

Ben Spies Video Interview on 2012 MotoGP Season [Video]

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Yamaha Factory Racing today posted on its YouTube page a video interview with Ben “Elbowz” Spies, in which Spies discusses the soon to start 2012 season of MotoGP. In his usual calm, cool and under control manner Spies speaks frankly on how he prefers the 1000cc GP machine, saying it suits his style (elbows out!) better than the previous seasons’ 800cc bikes because the extra torque and horsepower of the liter-class bikes are, essentially, better matched to his physical stature. Spies also answers honestly the question of who he thinks he needs to keep an eye in 2012, including his teammate, Jorge Lorenzo.
