Yamaha YZ description

2000 Yamaha YZ250, YZ250 - A new 38mm Keihin PWK carburetor, with throttle-position sensor and repositioned power jet, gives this years YZ250 a meaner, berm-shredding bite--with bigger mid-range and top-end hit, more torque, and greater over-rev capacity. Hooking this seriously potent powerband up to the rear wheel is a retooled clutch setup, with a new stainless steel cable and a works-type adjustable lever system (same as Yamahas YZ426F and 125) that delivers better feel and greater control through the entire moto. Also like its four-stroke sibling, the 250 gets fitted with new aluminum suspension bits, including all-new, low-friction outer fork tubes and a new rear shock with separate high- and low-speed damping adjustability. Couple these to a stiffer, lighter-weight triple clamp and frame, add a reworked steering crown with a more-forward handlebar position, and what was already super-smooth handling and lightning-quick steering has been honed to an even finer point.
