Yamaha XT description

1985 Yamaha XT350

I am selling an 1985 Yamaha XT350. The bike runs, but not well in the top end, which is most likely the top end carb and the fact that I have air filters on that are not very restrictive (no original airbox). It has new front brake pads, new rear brake shoes, a rebuilt front caliper, extremely clean carburetors, and new front shock oil/dust seals. There are no holes in the metal gas tank. The valve clearances have all been checked and are good.

Yamaha Unveils 2012 MotoGP Livery – Massive Gallery and Video

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Yamaha has pulled the covers off the 2012 edition of its YZR-M1, the machines which racers Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies will ride to compete in the 2012 MotoGP World Championship. While last year’s M1 was predominantly blue, the new 1000cc version of the M1 sports more white paint with wide bands of Yamaha blue on the front fairing and along the side, flowing along the line of the seat. Like most MotoGP squads, Yamaha doesn’t want to be too specific about its MotoGP bike’s potential, estimating the power output from the crossplane crankshaft engine at over 240 hp.

Custom R1 for Riders for Health

Tue, 08 Dec 2009

This R1 will be auctioned in 2010 to raise money for Riders for Health. The bike was donated by Yamaha and the paintjob was designed by Aldo Drudi - the guy behind Rossi's helmet designs. See the similarity?!

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
