You are bidding on a beautiful, in excellent condition with original miles, 1981 Yamaha XT 500. This bike was a nostalgic purchase with the goal in mind to have a retirement toy. Next thing, live happened! Before it sits in the garage collecting dust, I'd rather find it a new home. That thumper likes to purr.
The bike is original except for the carburetor. Recent oil change done. It is currently tagged and starts on the first 3 kicks running like a charm. With it comes a slew of parts, i.e. 12V conversion kit, new set of tires/tubes, maintenance manual, gasket set, shaft seals, progressive springs and other bits and pieces totaling close to $500 Title is clear and free. Wed, 04 Jun 2014Michael Dunlop led from start to finish to win the second Supersport TT race, giving him 10 TT victories in his career, tying him with the likes of Giacomo Agostini. Dunlop also joins sidecar racer Robert Fisher, Ian Lougher and Stanley Woods with 10 wins apiece, all tied for seventh overall on the all-time wins list. Riding his MD Racing Honda CBR600RR, Dunlop got off to a strong start, recording a time of 17:55.817 on the opening lap, giving him a 4.6-second advantage over fellow Honda rider Bruce Anstey.

Wed, 29 Feb 2012Ben Spies topped the time sheets ahead of teammate Jorge Lorenzo as Yamaha continued its MotoGP pre-season testing in Malaysia. While their rivals at Honda were idled by an engine problem, the two factory Yamaha riders found improvement on their Day One times and gathered data about riding in both wet and dry conditions. Spies set the best lap time at 2:01.285 while testing different chassis settings in the morning.
