Yamaha XS description

1981 Yamaha Xs850sg , 850 triple with full plastics (saddlebags and fairing). the windshield was chopped down to give it a more style. the whole bike has been blacked out minus a few chrome pieces. It has a kick and electric start that both work. This bike's powerband really shows in high fourth into fifth gears. tires are end of life and will need replaced for next season. Brand New battery and bulbs all around. Carbs rebuilt and jetted at the beginning of summer. Im looking to trade for another classic or sell outright. The 2014 World Supersport season opened in dramatic fashion after a red-flagged restart turned the 18-lap race into a five-lap sprint, with MV Agusta making a triumphant return to the top of the podium for the first time since 1976. The Supersport event began with a hard-fought battle between three-time champion Kenan Sofuoglu, Kev Coghlan and Michael van der Mark. Sofuoglu and his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R held a slim lead over Coghlan’s Yamaha R6 and van der Mark’s Honda CBR600RR when the race was halted after CIA Insurance Honda rider Jack Kennedy suffered an engine problem and leaked oil onto the track.

Motorcycle Thefts Down 11.2% in 2010

Motorcycle thefts in the U.S. are down for the fourth consecutive year in 2010,  according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. There were 49,791 reported motorcycle thefts in 2010, an 11.2% drop from the 56,093 thefts reported in 2009.
