Yamaha Virago description

Up for sale is a virago I have built to sell, I've been building these for a few years and all consigned builds. I finally built one to sell, one for the more budget minded, fully done with laced wheels and Benelli tank I sell these for around $15k. I call this a budget model because I kept the original alloy wheels, the front is a rear secs 18" converted to be able to run a fat 120/90/18 tire, the rear is stock with a 130/90/16.

Specs  tires, new kenda 130/90/16 and 120/90/18
Brakes new front and rear pads/shoes, new master, braided line, rebuilt caliper

Electrical, new xs650 switch controls, starter, 12cell antigravity lithium battery, new starter and modified bendix clip, New headlight, led tail light with integrated turn signals, bar end turn signals, horn, everything need to be legal

Carbs, New Sudco Mikuni VM34 carbs, I don't mess with wasting my time on the original carbs, these are a HUGE performance improvement.  You will notice in the professional pictures I originally had a 2 into 1 intake manifold with a single carb. I was disappointed in the top end performance with this setup, so I changed out to the dual vm34s, you will see an updated pic with the carbs installed. I no longer install single carbs on any of my viragos because the past half throttle runnability is so much better. This thing comes to life considerably with these carbs

Clipons are Tarozzi, rearsets are Dime City, Seat is Dime city. I manufacture and sell the bolt on subframe unit along with tank lift to use the original xv750 tank.

          New Petcocks,

Forks have been lowered 2" rebuilt, Progressive suspension springs installed

Frame and wheels have been powder coated along with most of the black components

Tank is a flawless black paint, A Variant logo I had designed to mock Vincent

Engine hardware has been replaced with polished Stainless bolts

The bike originally had around 5k miles on it, since the build it has around 100 or so

The bike includes the mag wheels only, the pics of bikes with laced or spoke wheels are only to give you an idea of different looks.

This is a show quality bike that can be ridden as is or added to, my bikes are all over the internet, If you want to add laced wheels to this I can for $2000-2500 depending on the size you want. If you want to change out to a benelli tank, I can for $1600 including paint of your choice.  I would like to consider this a base model, do what you'd like, just contact me if you'd like things changed. My website is hagemanmc dot com you will see a few of my previous builds, or do a search for Docschops Cafe racers, or Greg Hageman Cafe racers, you will find plenty examples of my work

If you have any questions please ask, I will assist in shipping any way possible but you are in charge of arranging and paying costs

Bike is to be paid in full within one week of sale end. You are welcome to come and see the bike in person.

Tue, 09 Mar 2010

SEE THE MACHINE that could propel Britain to a new motorcycle land speed world record at The Race Retro 2010 show, held at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry from 12th to 14th March. Almost a year has passed since Visordown broke the news of the planned UK assault on the land speed record - this coming August the Angelic Bulldog team travels to Bonneville, where it is hoping to smash the 400mph barrier and bring the motorcycle Land Speed Record back to the UK for the first time since 1937. The current record stands at 360.913mph over a kilometre.

A crazy traveler on a Yamaha R1 will go to the North Pole

Mon, 23 Mar 2020

Lucassen is a man who can be surely called a maniac. He has been traveling for a long time. In 1995, he went on a three-year round-the-world route on a Honda Fireblade and covered over 160 thousand kilometers, and in 2001 he started on a Yamaha YZF-R1 and traveled about 250 thousand kilometers in five years.
