Yamaha V Star tech info
Yamaha V Star description
The bike started life as a 1999 Yamaha V-Star 650 Classic. It has now been transformed into the ultimate bobber motorcycle. It has just a hair over 11k miles and has been well maintained. The best thing about a metric bike is that it's super reliable and this thing still rides like the Cruiser it was originally born to be! Where to start... I didn't like the look of the original 16" front wheel so I had a few things changed on the front end to accommodate a 21" Harley Davidson Narrowglide front wheel, tire, and rotor. I had the handlebars, switches, and cables all changed up and/or hidden as well. The bars were changed to WoodCraft brand clip-ons with a Biltwell Whiskey Single Throttle Cable Assembly. The switches were custom relocated to the existing holes on the upper triple tree. I had a custom Biltwell Slimline seat installed. It's got a custom rear fender which started life as a full fender from Blue Collar Bobber. It's also got a side mounted rear light and plate kit by Blue Collar Bobber. The exhaust started life as Cobra Slashcut pipes and were cut down and wrapped to compliment the Bobber look. The engine was completely and professionally overhauled and the cylinder jugs, tank, and rear fender were just freshly painted gloss black. The Carburetors have been gone through and thoroughly cleaned when I did the pipes. The stripes on the headlight in the pictures are only electrical tape and have since been removed. NOTE: Since I originally posted this ad I have purchased a Large Biltwell Bonanza Gang Green Helmet and their Biltwell Moto Black Gloves in Large as well so they are now included in this auction along with EKS Brand Moto Goggles in black. They are nearly new as I have worn them but they were purchased in the beginning of September 13'. I will also throw in the bike cover for this bike as well as a Big Red Motorcycle Jack that was used once to do the front wheel. This bike needs nothing and when you get on it, you feel like a bad ass! This bike is a real headturner as no one seems to know exactly what it is when you go scootin' by. Surprisingly comfortable to ride, even for long periods of time. Don't really need to sell this bike but wouldn't mind a larger down payment towards a home. NO RESERVE! Open to all offers, questions, comments. Let me know and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
