Yamaha V Star description
For sale is a 2003 Yamaha VStar 650 Classic. This is a two owner bike, myself and the lady that I purchased it from. I have had the bike for just over two years. I purchased the bike in "stock" condition, and over the last two years have put over $3.5k in customizations, including: Custom Paint by Robbie Norris Designs, Headwinds headlight and bullet signals, orange crocodile seat inlay, and a number of chrome Kuryakyn parts (tombstone taillight and bullet signals, grips, caliper cover, swing arm cover and boomerang cover, pedals, drive shaft cover, side mount license plate, rear fender tip, etc). I've just had the bike inspected last week and it has received routine maintenance and service (last fluid check/change was March 2013).
This has been THE BEST first bike. The bike is light weight, balanced and easy to maneuver, with out compromising the look of "big boy" cruiser.
I have included a few pictures of the bike as it existed when I purchased it, including one in a side-by-side next to my husband's 1998 Heritage Springer to demonstrate the actual size of the bike. I have also included more current pics that portray most of the customizations that I have made (excluding the seat). I am happy to forward any additional pics requested, including pictures that were taken through the customization processes.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email, Thank you!

Pedrosa, Marquez, Bradl Talk About Racing, Motorcycles, And Each Other
Fri, 05 Apr 2013In order to use footage from a Dorna-sanctioned MotoGP test session — say, for marketing or promotional reasons — a team must receive approval from Dorna. The process is tedious, and even if permission is granted, there are strict limitations as to what the material may or may not be used for. So when Honda decided to conduct its own private test (which Yamaha also joined), at the Circuit of the Americas, it was free from any and all Dorna mandates.
French Moto Website Anticipates Versys 1000 at EICMA 2011
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Musings of a liter-size engined Kawasaki Versys have circulated the web for a few years now, as loyalists of the likable Versys 650, as well as displacement-driven riders waiting in the wings, have pondered the potential of a more powerful adventure bike from Kawasaki that’s in the same league as BMW’s R1200GS and Yamaha’s Super Tenere. Alas, nothing of the sort has ever left the lips of Kawasaki, let alone go into production. Recently, however, the French motorcycle website, Moto-net.com, has produced convincing images that appear like photos of a complete Versys 1000, including matching hard luggage.
Jorge Lorenzo Breaks Collarbone in High-Speed Crash
Thu, 27 Jun 2013The 2013 MotoGP Championship has taken a dramatic turn after defending champion Jorge Lorenzo broke his collarbone in a high-speed crash during practice for this weekend’s TT Assen in the Netherlands. The Yamaha factory rider was the overall leader after a dry morning practice session. The afternoon was rainy however, creating slippery conditions.
