Round 1 Of GEICO Superbike Shootout Is This Weekend
Tue, 22 Apr 2014Round One of the GEICO Superbike Shootout kicks off with the Yamaha SoCal Nationals this weekend at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The event is the first of a three-race series that will crown overall champions in two individual race classes: Pro Superbike and Dynojet Pro Sportbike. The Superbike Shootout is a three-race series meant to fill the long void in the AMA Pro Roadracing schedule between round one at Daytona and the second round at Road America.

Thu, 03 Apr 2014Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., is proud to announce that it has signed on as sponsor for the GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented By Yamaha, a three-event championship motorcycle road racing series that includes the Yamaha SoCal Nationals at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on April 26-27; the Pacific Nationals at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA on May 3-4; and the Mountain Nationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT on May 24-25. The announcement was made by Bob Starr, General Manager of National Communications for Yamaha’s Motorsports Group. Honda and Yamaha Pledge Support to Typhoon Victims in Philippines
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Honda and Yamaha each offered aid to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan which struck the Philippines earlier this month. Initial estimates put the death tool at over 10,000 but Philippine President Benigno Aquino says the actual number maybe closer to 2,500. Still, the United Nations says more than 11 million people were affected by the typhoon, with about 673,000 displaced from their homes.
