Yamaha V Max description

If you're looking at this bike, you probably already know what it is. If you don't, here is a little bit about it. The Yamaha V-Max was first introduced in 1985 to compete with the  Honda Magna. The bike's production lasted until 2007 (making my bike the last year of the original V-Max.). The bike is extremely fast and has what is called V-Boost. V-Boost is at 6K RPM when butterfly valves open and the bike turns from a fast bike to a REALLY fast bike. You can feel it kick in and hear the sound change. The bike is extremely clean and runs beautifully. I haven't ridden it much because of work and school schedules, but it's definitely a fun bike. The previous owner told me he had the seat repacked to make it more comfortable and it is pretty comfortable. I just replaced the battery in the last month. The only negative this bike has is that the back tire leaks down after about a week. It's never been a problem for me and I just keep an eye on it. Other than that, the bike is great. No test rides without cash in hand and if you want to ship it, you are responsible for arrangements.

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

In January news broke that Larry Pegram would be teaming up with Erik Buell Racing to race the 1190RX in AMA Superbike. At the time no official photos were revealed, but that’s all changed as Pegram posted these pictures of his completed 1190RX in full race livery on his Facebook page. These photos were captured during team testing in Florida, and the colors show off the all-American design motif.
