Yamaha TY250A Trials description

For sale is a great survivor 1974 TY250A.  Starts on the first kick, shifts as it should and runs great. original headlight and tail light work as do the original right and left hand switch assemblies. New petcock, plug and fluid change. Needs nothing ready to ride or collect. One small ding on right side of tank and various scratches. Very good tires front and rear. Fenders have some some scratches and minor flaking. Includes clean CA title in my hand and when I checked with the CA DMV it's apparently out of the system since the search came bake "No Record Found". Motor and frame are matching numbers # 43401005, so the original engine the bike left the factory with.

R1 noise, bike porn and a quick lap

Tue, 24 Apr 2012

Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.

For 2014, the new R125 receives an upside-down fork, revised fuel-injection system, front air-intake and an R6-inspired fairing design. The engine remains unchanged from the previous version, with a single-cylinder displacing 124.7cc.

EICMA 2013: 2014 Yamaha MT-07 And MT-09 Street Rally

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Yamaha teased us with the “Rise Up Your Darkness” campaign, first introducing the FZ-09 (called the MT-09 in Europe) and its three-cylinder engine packaged in a naked frame. Now Yamaha has introduced the next motorcycle in the Darkness collection, the MT-07, effectively the MT/FZ-09′s little brother. Designed to “bring fun, affordability and enjoyment back to the street,” the MT-07 is powered by a brand new, 689cc parallel-Twin with 270-degree crank incorporating Yamaha’s “crossplane philosophy” of developing linear torque for smoother power application.
