2008 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe S on 2040-motos
Yamaha Royal Star tech info
Yamaha Royal Star description
2008 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Deluxe S. This bike is gorgeous, two tone silver and charcoal. The "S" model was the upgraded paint scheme. All original except the quick release drivers back rest, luggage rack and cup holder. Both front and rear tires and brakes just replaced last week.
With this bike you have the best of both worlds. The windshield, lowering cowls and hard bags make it a great tour bike if you want to take that trip with your buddies. For cruising, removing the drivers and passengers back rest and windshield take all of about 1 minuet. This thing transforms from a respectable tourer to a beautiful cruiser in the snap of a finger!
We just returned Sunday from a 2,700 mile trip out west and it ran great. That trip pushed the mileage to 25,129 which is very reasonable for a 5 year old touring bike.
The ONLY flaw you will find is a couple small cracks on the bottom of the left hand lower cowl where a board was run over, bounced up and hit the cowl and created 2 small cracks. A factory painted replacement is $213.00 if it bother you but it needs to be pointed out for anyone to notice.
Overall this is a super clean, sharp bike that needs nothing and is ready to ride. The N.A.D.A price is $8,885.00. I'm a two bike owner and feel my starting price gives someone the opportunity to buy this bike at a very reasonable price. Feel confident in your bidding, you will not be disappointed!
I do have the bike advertised locally and will pull the add off if it sells. Thanks!

Cardboard Yamaha R1
Tue, 01 May 2012I'm partial to a bit of origami and have been frustratingly screwing up paper trying to master Yamaha's paper craft series for a while now. Jack Chen from Australia has not only made a mockery of my model making failures, but he also made this version which is 40% smaller than a full-size Yamaha YZF-R1, out of cardboard.
Yamaha Trademarks Design for Three-Cylinder Sport-Tourer
Mon, 11 Aug 2014Yamaha has registered a trademark for the design of a sport-touring model based on the FZ-09. Filed with European Union’s Office for Harminization in the Internal Market, the trademarked design reveals a brand new model sharing the same frame and engine as the FZ-09 (known in Europe as the MT-09.) Discuss this at our Yamaha FZ-09 Forum. The new model will likely be compete against motorcycles such as the Suzuki V-Strom 1000 and a rumored S1000RR-based model from BMW.
