Yamaha Royal Star description

This 1997 Yamaha Royal Star Tour Classic is in fantastic shape. It was purchased brand new in October 2001 so it spent the first four years of its life on the showroom floor. It has always been garaged. Most of the miles on this bike are highway miles. It has seen five Rolling Thunders, one Iron Butt Association Saddlesore 1000 and a 3000 mile week that included a stop in Key West. This bike has a stage one jet kit, K&N air filters and Cobra 2 four into four slash cut drag pipes with removable baffles. It sounds great with them, without them its the loudest bike you have ever heard. Not in a noise way but in a top fuel dragster way. I rode that way for years then put them back in it was just too loud mile after mile. It also has a Dyna 3000 digital performance ignition module. I had it on a dyno in 2005, horsepower 69.3 and torque 78.4. It has a Baron Custom engine guard. It has Rivco dual air horns and a Utopia Products driver backrest that is removable. It has a universal throttle lock. It has the firmer seats from a Royal Star Tour Classic and a new fuel tank & petcock. The old tank developed a hairline crack. The new tank is new old stock and the correct paint for this year and model. I did not transfer the Royal Star badges but I have them if you want them. This bike has too many Yamaha accessories to list them all but some of the major ones would be driving lights, chrome cylinder fins, passenger seat back emblem, saddlebag liners & rain covers, leather tank pouch, leather glove box and chrome brake & clutch levers. This bike has NEVER been down. The only thing wrong with this bike is that with two small children and one on the way in November I just dont have time to ride. If you want an affordable touring cruiser then you have found the right bike. Give me a call today! 419-739-7530

Motorcycle.com Adds a New Editor

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.

How to murder an HP2 Sport

Mon, 08 Oct 2012

Some bikes and cars should be left entirely stock; left unchanged from the way the factory intended them to be. In purchasing them you should understand that. I could produce a list of vehicles that should be taken off the owner if they modified them in any way but I'll save you the boredom.

Yamaha Developing 250cc Sportbike for India in 2014

Wed, 12 Dec 2012

Yamaha has been rumored to be working on a 250cc sportbike for quite some time now. In fact, the other three members of the Japanese Big Four have launched new models in the small-displacement segment in recent years, but none of these new generation small-displacement bikes bear Yamaha‘s crossed tuning fork logo. That may change by 2014 however.
