Yamaha Road Star description

2004 Yamaha Road Star 1700 with 12,170 miles, white. $4500 obo. Title in hand.
Upgrades:

  • Corbin Dual Touring Saddle ($480). Seam will need to be re-stitched across the lower seating area.
  • Yamaha Comfort Cruise solo seat ($383)
  • Hard-Krome 3" Big Straights ($650)
  • Cobra Freeway Bars ($189)
  • Viking Bags saddlebags ($290) not installed, all hardware included.
  • K&N air filter, re-jetted carb ($65)
  • BrakeAway Cruise Control ($199)
Runs great, starts up even when very cold (not my favorite riding but I have done it a few times). This has taken me to Bozeman and Jackson Hole and around Colorado with great comfort. Regular maintenance has been performed every 2000, tune up last spring, and regular inspection of the bike every month. The battery has been on my Battery Tender each winter to keep it fresh and charged for the spring. The bike has never been in an wreck or laid down, she has been well cared for.

Beaubier may be the new kid on the block, but he entered the season opener at Daytona International Speedway with high expectations.

This picture of me chasing Foggy on the Daytona banking in 1991 brought back some bitter sweet memories recently. I did half a season as his team mate on the Silkolene RC30s before scurrying off to Japan to ride a factory Yamaha Superbike. I’ve never been a quitter but I felt the team that year was gear stretched running two riders so it was a case of last in first out.
