Yamaha RD 400 description

1976 Yamaha RD400 vintage cafe racer with 10,970 miles on the odometer. Clean CA title and registration is up to date. It has a Ducati 900ss style half-fairing, custom gunmetal grey/black paint job with gold wheels and accents (there are a few little cracks in the paint on one side on the tail section where it bolts to the frame). It is a kick-start 2-stroke with oil pump still operational so no need to run premix. Mikuni carbs have been cleaned and rejetted. Has Banshee cross-over tube and the popular Y-boot to a foam air filter. The tach has been mounted in the center just in front of the triple trees with the speedometer tucked down low on the left side near the headlight right behind the fairing. The tank has been coated to prevent rust. It has clip-ons, rear sets, aftermarket chambers with new packing, Shorai lithium battery, and a Joker Machine oil dipstick and magnetic drain plug. The tires are in decent shape, but I would recommend replacing them due to age. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Runs and rides great! No test rides without cash in hand. I can send more detailed pictures if you are interested. Serious inquiries only please. I cannot ship the bike- buyer is responsible for pickup.

One man who didn't want to be watching the Sachsenring MotoGP

Mon, 15 Jul 2013

Jorge Lorenzo posted this picture on his Twitter feed on Sunday. Yamaha's No.1 rider had to watch Sunday's MotoGP from his apartment. Despite Crutchlow reckoning Sunday's race result would have been the same even with Pedrosa and Lorenzo on the grid, I reckon Lorenzo would have had something to say about that.

Tapout Themed Yamaha R1 Unveiled at UFC 129 Fan Expo

Wed, 04 May 2011

The Ultimate Fighting Championships recently held the largest event in its history in Toronto and the folks at Tapout decided to use the occasion to unveil a 2011 Yamaha R1 project bike. The bike was designed Toronto’s Flat Out Industries. As you may expect, it prominently features Tapout logos all over the bike, including on the wheels, along with a pretty sweet red, black and white color scheme.

The Diavel rocks!

Thu, 21 Jul 2011

The Diavel is my new bike of the year. Not being a huge Ducati fan, when I was thrown the keys of this monster at Silverstone on Tuesday I was expecting an ill handling, weighty beast that would run out of revs and scare me to death. Well I couldn’t have been more wrong as I had an absolute blast.
