Yamaha Other description

This is my 2004 Yamaha R1. I am only selling it because I got a 2012 R1 and I am already starting to regret selling this one. It's been an awesome bike, but sadly it's time for her to find a new home. The bike is a clear and clear title, and it has never been down on the ground. Here are the vitals: 11,190 mis Flawless condition, never wrecked Full Titanium Exhaust system made by Arata ($2400) Includes the seat and the OEM seat cowling ($150) Dyno Tuned with a Power Commander III (PC3) USB mapped for strong street use. ($350) Greggs Custom Turn Signals ($75) Puig Fender Eliminator ($115) Puig Windscreen ($75) Gorilla Antitheft ($275) RK GB530GXW chain ($225) Powdercoated Wheels, matched perfectly to the bodywork (they were black, originally $500) Brand new battery installed today (12/8/13) $125 Barnett Upgraded Carbon Kevlar Clutch. $215 Full Yamaha Factory Warranty Extension through December 2017. $50 deductible. Unlimited Mileage. $1500 value I am also including a $200 Yamaha OEM factory cover, not shown. All of the extras are well over $4500 . They are all tastefully done and the bike looks amazing. The bike runs exactly as it should. It is *perfect* and needs absolutely nothing. The tires have about 25mis on them, just from the dealership and around the block last week. All maintenance is up to date. She's a get-on-and-ride kind of bike. The warranty can be pre-owned at any official Yamaha dealership in the United States. You will need to transfer the warranty which is a $75.00 one-time fee. This warranty is a "cadillac" warranty and covers everything except wear-and-tear items. Good luck in your hunt, guys. This 1 is a real gem. You don't want to miss it. I doubt you will find a better deal on an R1 I can promise you that much. I have the title in hand. Shipping is easy, I shipped my R1 from New England to Austin for $335.00 fully insured. If you are in a hurry, you'll pay more for shipping. Payment: Cash, cashiers check, bitcoin, direct deposit. No other payment method is accepted. You can email or call 512-560-XXXX Thanks.

Yamaha Pro Am madness, the best one make championship ever?

Sat, 18 Dec 2010

I’m biased of course, but the best one make road race championship has to be the Yamaha RD 350LC Pro Am series. Back in the days when manufacturers had spare cash (1980 to be precise), Mitsui Yamaha organised this televised championship at major British race meetings to promote the recently launched, and now iconic, Yamaha RD350LC. Twenty four riders (twelve established and twelve rookies) were chosen by a panel of experts then given a completely free season of racing with a very generous prize fund thrown in.

Yamaha’s board of directors has voted in transfer all shares of its Canadian subsidiary to its American subsidiary, a move which would give Yamaha Motor U.S.A. responsibility over the entire North American market. The proposed transfer, set to begin in December,  will make Yamaha Motor Canada a subsidiary of its American counterpart.

Infamous Canadian Motorcyclist Found Not Guilty in 186-mph Highway Stunt

Fri, 25 Oct 2013

We don’t know if this is a case of a guilty man going free or of a braggart facing trial for something he didn’t do. Either way, Randy Scott, 26, was found not guilty of a Trans-Canada Highway run at 299 km/h in April 2012. The viral YouTube video of a Yamaha R1 rider weaving in and out of traffic was used by police to track down Scott with the help of a concerned neighbor’s tip.
