Up for sale is my 2008 Yamaha R6s mileage 5k. lowered 3", I still have original stock plates to bring it to factory height. The bike runs well no issues what so ever. Just don't ride as much anymore and would like it to be put to good use. The bike was knocked over in the garage and the clutch lever broke off at the end. And there's a few minor scratches on the plastic (as you can see in the photos) other than that the bike looks great. Brand new Pirelli tires just put on this year. Intermot 2012: Yamaha Unveils Crossplane Triple Concept
Tue, 02 Oct 2012Yamaha announced it is developing a new three-cylinder engine using a crossplane crankshaft inherited from the company’s YZR-M1 MotoGP bike and its YZF-R1 sportbike. Yamaha says the new Triple will play an important role in the company’s future. The Japanese manufacturer unveiled a concept sculpture with the new three-cylinder engine at the 2012 Intermot show in Cologne, Germany.
Stoner explains the tank slapper
Mon, 03 Oct 2011Casey Stoner looked all set to win at Motegi, after translating his pole position into an early race-lead. But coming over the crest on the back straight his bike momentarily lost control in a tank slapper. Regaining composure the championship leader was forced to pump his brakes to get the pads back in place, with the rear-wheel bouncing in the air he ran out of time and space to make the 90 degree right hander and was forced to run into the gravel.
