Yamaha Other tech info
Yamaha Other description
1993 Yamaha TW200 21k miles Clean title The bike is an absolute joy to ride, I bought it primarily to learn how to work on and ride motorcycles and for that it has been awesome. However I'm ready to let it go and move on to something bigger. The new parts list is a little lengthy, because I like to tinker. New clutch New tires New LED brake light New LED headlight New Conestyle Air Filter from Japan Webbike Replaced the Battery for a Lithium Ion Also all the original battery box and fenders were removed and a aluminum "stealthy" battery cage tucked up under the seat The pipe from the manifold back is new including the muffler. The Carburetor has been cleaned and jetted for better performance. On warm days you don't even need to use the choke to start it There is everything needed for kick start but some of the springs have warn out so I just took the lever off The gas tank has been stripped down them primer and painted imitation steel. I originally had it bare metal but I couldn't find a clear coat that worked well with WVs horrible humidity. Not looking for trades as I am leaving the area soon. |

Yamaha Reports 2013 Sales Results
Wed, 12 Feb 2014Yamaha reported a 1.2% decrease in motorcycle sales in 2013 but managed to increase its net sales revenue by 16.2%, thanks in large part to the depreciation of the Japanese yen. According to the company’s 2013 fiscal report, Yamaha sold 6,014,000 motorcycles last year, down slightly from 6,090,000 sold in 2012. The good news however, is most of the sales decrease was limited to Thailand and Vietnam where the economy worsened in 2013, while Yamaha’s sales increased in nearly all other markets.
Simon and Leo
Thu, 11 Aug 2011If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.
