Yamaha Other tech info
Yamaha Other description
Up for sale is a really clean 1992 Yamaha GTS1000. She is almost totally stock, with the only modifications being a Corbin seat and a MRA Touring windscreen. This example has just over 37k miles, and is very clean. Everything works, and runs like a top. At the heart of this bike, you have the 1000cc Genesis 20 valve motor from the FZR. Retuned for 100 horsepower and 78 ft. lbs. of torque, this thing pulls like a freight train from about 2k rpm, and cruises at freeway speeds at around 5k rpm. To complete the package, the bike also has fuel injection, anti-lock brakes front and back, and a catalytic converter. The full fairing and the MRA windscreen help keep the rider out of the wind during those long rides. These bikes were an evolution in front suspension design. This forkless design is very similar to that on the Bimota Tesi series. http://silodrome.com/yamaha-gts-1000/ The title is clean, up to date, and in my name. The front tire needs to be changed. Please ask any additional questions before bidding. Good luck! On Jun-14-16 at 09:33:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Edit: This is a 1993, not a 1992. The year in the text above is a typo. |

Yamaha describes the XTW250 RYOKU concept as an “unrestricted, anytime, anywhere” mobility vehicle offering performance, operability the capacity to carry heavy loads.
OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes
Sat, 01 Nov 2008KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
