Yamaha Other description

Here we have my 1991 FJ1200, it was an unfinished project.  I put a fair amount of work into it and its almost complete.  The windscreen is missing. One clip-on needs replaced or heated up and bent back in to shape.  The tank is dented and needs minor repair as do some of the body panels which are inluded.  There are many parts included which are not shown, sorry I was too lazy to dig the bike out. I rebuilt the carbs and had the bike running 2 years ago.  The bowls have been drained and she should be ready to go.  I would imagine, you could be riding the bike down the street after a days work.  The bike comes with a pennsylvania certificate of salvage which has not gone through the inspection process.  If you are using it for parts....great.  If you want to finish and repair check your local laws and how your DMV will deal with the pennsylvania certificate of salvage.

Simon and Leo

Thu, 11 Aug 2011

If you are a track day regular this year, you may well have bumped into former racer and friendly Kiwi, Simon Crafar. I first met him in Malaysia in 1990 when he was riding for a Yamaha dealer team, sweating his way round circuits like Shah Alam and Johor Bahru but with a long term plan to make it onto the World scene. And he didn’t take long as after riding for Honda in the UK in 1992 he moved to WSB in 1994 and enjoyed success with both the Honda and Kawasaki factory teams.

FIM Updates Superbike Racing Homologation Lists for 2013

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has released an updated list of motorcycles homologated for the 2013 Superbike, Supersport, and Superstock racing season. Notable additions include the new BMW S1000RR HP4, the MV Agusta F3 and the Superbike-spec Ducati 1199 Panigale R. To qualify a production-based racebike for FIM homologations, manufacturers have to meet certain production thresholds.
