1987 Yamaha Fazer 700 , Rare ('86/'87 only) FZX700 Fazer, fastest street bike in '86 per Cycle World review, little brother to Yammy V-Max with Harleyesque styling, Yamaha Genesis watercooled engine. Unfaded, perfect red trip components over super rare '87 black tank trim. Original California bike, bought from a collector in '94, transported east and ridden less than 1,500 miles since, regularly serviced, always garaged. Original seat, tires, exhaust, brakes, chain, mirrors (provided). Recent carbs cleaning, all flluids replaced, battery, air cleaner, fuel pump. Aftermarket Rifle Nightfllight mini-fairing (removes without a trace) included. Bulletproof mechanicals per Yahoo, FB group fansites. Registered, titled, fully roadworthy. The Yamaha factory rider was the overall leader after a dry morning practice session. The afternoon was rainy however, creating slippery conditions.
Recall for 2009-2011 Yamaha V-Max
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Yamaha is issuing a recall campaign on certain 2009-2011 V-Max power cruisers due to a potential risk of oil pump malfunction. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, abnormally high oil pressure can build up within the oil pump of certain Yamaha V-Max models. The high pressure may force the washer on the oil pump shaft against the oil pump housing, causing oil to stop pumping through the engine.
Bruce Willis’ 1988 Yamaha TW200 Trailway Up for Auction
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The second of five motorcycles from the private collection of actor Bruce Willis has gone up for auction to raise funds for the non-profit military support group The Boot Campaign. Bidding is now open on CharityBuzz.com for the “Die Hard” star’s 1988 Yamaha TW200 Trailway. It follows Willis’ 2005 Ducati Multistrada 1000DS which sold for auction for $6,250, just a few hundred dollars higher than its list price in Kelley Blue Book.
