I am the second owner of this 1974 Yamaha TX 650cc Twin.

Restoration details: New wheels (rims, spokes, tires, tubes were polished), rotor was drilled, brake caliper was powder coated. New brake pads and shoes. New Chain, powder coated sprocket, new bolts and tabs. New Shocks. Mufflers and headers and front fender re-chromed. New Seat Cover. Seat pan powder coated. New Cables. throttle brake switch. New Battery, battery brackets powder coated. New Wiring Harness, New Battery Cables. New taillight (british style). Headlight shell powder coated, side covers powder coated. Fenders polished and painted inside. New fork seals and fork gaiters (look retro) & foot peg rubber. New handlebars and grips. Carburetors were soda blasted, soaked and rebuilt and tuned. Entire frame was powder coated. Side stand and center stand also powder coated. New Plugs and Points. Fresh oil and filters. Any dull hardware was replaced with stainless or new. Engine was bead blasted and painted with self-etching primer and painted with high-temperature silver and cured. Engine crown nuts, bolts were replaced with new. Aluminum parts are polished. A custom rear seat loop was made to fix the taillight. Original toolkit compete and clean (never used!). Has two gas tanks, stock red and white tank is unrestored. New Bronze swing arm bushings & headset. Has new tapered roller bearings. Side covers are original. Original unrestored plastic badges are included. Any spare parts and hardware will also go with the bike.

Ryan Villopoto captured his series-leading fourth win of the season in a red-flagged main event before a record crowd of 60,178 at St. Louis’ Edwards Jones Dome, as the 2013 AMA Supercross season reaches its midway point. The race started with MotoConcepts Suzuki rider Mike Alessi taking the holeshot with Muscle Milk Honda‘s Justin Barcia and Yoshimura Suzuki‘s James Stewart on his tail.

Yamaha Quitting World Superbike Racing After 2011 Season

Yamaha announced it is withdrawing its factory World Superbike Championship race team following the end of the 2011 season. The news comes as a bit of a surprise, just a week after reports the team had re-signed racer Marco Melandri for the 2012 season. On the other hand, the team has struggled to find a title sponsor this season, as has Yamaha’s MotoGP team.
