Parts Bike, My Uncle bought it new to use on the farm & it was last ran in the mid 70's when it broke the casting that held the inner shifting mechanism. Has been in the garage since. I believe it is locked in gear. Also have the original owners manual.

Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., is proud to announce that it has signed on as sponsor for the GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented By Yamaha, a three-event championship motorcycle road racing series that includes the Yamaha SoCal Nationals at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on April 26-27; the Pacific Nationals at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA on May 3-4; and the Mountain Nationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT on May 24-25. The announcement was made by Bob Starr, General Manager of National Communications for Yamaha’s Motorsports Group. Ben Spies Signs Contract Extension with Yamaha

Yamaha has signed Ben Spies to a one-year contract extension to continue racing on its MotoGP factory team in 2012. The extension comes after Spies, currently seventh in the Championship standings, recorded his first podium finish of the 2011 season, a third place result at Catalunya. Spies earned two other podium finishes in 2010 in his Rookie of the Year winning debut in the class with the Tech 3 satellite team.
